We would like to assist Stanford Live to introduce vocalist Betsayda Machado and La Parranda El Clavo, performers of Afro-Venezuelan music from the Barlovento region of Venezuela. Betsayda is a wonderful singer and charismatic performer and La Parranda El Clavo is an excellent ensemble.

Just before the concert, Stanford Live will be presenting a free workshop on Afro-Venezuelan dance with La Parranda that should be a lot of fun, and we are all trying to spread the word far and wide.
