Current and incoming Fellows convened at the School of Arts and
Culture @MHP on Friday
to engage in a collaborative drumming exercise to show that when every culture and voice comes together,
are respected and honored, the work towards real solutions can truly begin. The workshops were led by

Artist Mike Lai staged an "epic battle" between "Team Bruce Lee" and
Aztec dancers in a performance art piece at the
San Jose Museum of Art on Thursday, February 21, 2013.
The performance was part of the opening event for the exhibitions "New Stories from the Edge of Asia: This/That"
(in which Lai's video work is included) and "Rising Dragon: Contemporary Chinese Photography."
Legacy of the Drums - Hip Hop and Aztec Dance/ Drum Arts Collaboration 2012
As part of a unique collaboration with many other bay area performing artists,
Tezkatlipoka Aztec Dance and Drum, along with other bay area Aztec dancers,
participated in a special benefit concert for Haiti to raise proceeds for Earthquake relief efforts.
